“THERE ARE NO TRAFFIC JAMS ON THE EXTRA-MILE”
Doing a bit extra these days; well, not many people embrace this. We are so wrapped up in doing so much that we often times forget that it’s the little things that we do that make a big difference.
“…the difference between being ordinary and EXTRA-ordinary, is just a little extra…”
Think about the athlete that does one more lap on the track, or the diver that does yet one more dive at practice, or the teacher that helps just one more student, or young person that holds the door for an elderly person and even the salesperson that on a Friday afternoon, makes that one additional cold call, or calls to say thank you to a client – these things are what make great athletes, great human beings and YES even great salespeople.
I remember a friend of mine named Tim Quinn once stated that “…the difference between being ordinary and EXTRA-ordinary, is just a little extra…”
So are you ordinary, do you do just what it takes to make it happen? Or are you that extraordinary human being, or salesperson? This week and in the ensuing months; reach out to a loved one, take the time to make two extra calls a day, call a client that you haven’t spoken to in a while just to say hello. Make it a practice; when you go the ‘extra mile’, you will reap incredible rewards personally, professionally and profitably.
Very special thanks to Cliff Quicksell, MAS+ for his great insight.
